Interested in Becoming a Health Coach?

Me, with daughter Sarah (a current student at IIN)

My story:
I have been passionate about healthy living for more than 20 years.  As a teenager and young adult, I struggled with body image issues and confusion over how to properly care for myself.   When I became a parent I was overwhelmed with the plethora of conflicting nutritional advice “out there”.  I began to be more proactive in managing my own health, as well as the health of my family.  As my children grew up and began leaving the nest I realized that the same drive and determination to care for my family and myself had transitioned into a desire to radically empower others to do the same.  In 2008, I realized that I’d found my true fit when I enrolled in at the Institute For Integrative Nutrition and entered into a rewarding career as a certified holistic health coach, launching my practice Elemental Fit. Since the completion of my certification, my husband, Dave has also become certified, and now our daughter Sarah is enrolled at IIN. Helping others improve their health has become a family passion.
While my clients come from all walks of life, I specialize in working with women who are looking for ways to take better care of themselves after years of pouring out their lives for others - in their families, their communities and their careers.  One of my goals is to help my clients understand that they DO have a say-so in the quality of their lives.  Many of my clients complete my program with an exciting new perspective, feeling empowered and equipped to live more purposefully and passionately than ever before.
I received my training to practice Health Coaching at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which is the world’s largest nutrition school and the only one integrating all the different dietary theories - combining the knowledge of traditional philosophies like Macrobiotics and Ayurveda with modern concepts like the USDA Food Pyramid, the Glycemic Index, the Zone, and raw foods.
